Battle of Imphal
Anglo Zulu Wars of 1879 consist of many intense battles some well known, like Rorke’s Drift and Isandlwana, and others less known Ulundi, Kolbane. The war arose because colonial officials wanted one which the government in London did not. The war-advocates created intelligence to justify it, which is a very modern story. Amashinga, a feature documentary available here tells that story.
It was the first use by the British of new military technology which had yet to change how fighting happened. Again a very modern story. Amashinga (isiZulu for plot) is a feature documentary. It brings new insights to the events of Anglo Zulu Wars of 1879 – 1881 and is an informative and immersive experience told via the words of those who were there. The project as been a few years in the making and our research has been extensive both in UK and on the battlefield in South Africa.
The Battle of Imphal arose from a Japanese attempt to invade India in March 1944. The Battle Of Kohima an its tennis courts were part of the same battle. These web pages contain a travel blog of the battlefield in both Manipur (India) and Myanmar formerly Burma. They also contain images and reflections from multiple research tours of Japan.
Knowledge Revolution
History of 21st Century
Knowledge Revolution offers some historical perspective on how knowledge and how it is gathered and used has affected societies.
History of 21st Century contains an archive and it all happens under the AnalystnotAdvocate ethos. It contains writing from Simon Sole founder of a highly successful geopolitical analysis firm but also links to other material. We use history to guide our thinking. Is Ukraine really part of Russia? How legitimate is China’s claim on Tiawan? Are we in a knowledge revolution as profound as that initiated by the printing press.
