Amashinga: Ballet instead of Bullets to portray War.

Anglo Zulu Wars of 1879 consists of many intense battles some well known, like Rorke’s Drift and Isandlwana, and others less known Ulundi, Kolbane.

The war arose because colonial officials wanted one but the government in London did not. The advocates for war created intelligence to justify it, which is a very modern story! Amashinga, is a feature documentary which tells that story. Click at the top of the page to view.

In 1879 the British had new military technology which they did not yet know how to manage. Modern armies use drones but have yet to adapt thier tactics and force structure to them. History is worth the effort
